FTS InfoTech iPhone App Makes Top 10 Smart iPhone Apps for Biologists
10/12/09, Madison, WI – According to the article entitled “iPhone Apps Every Biologist Needs” on The Scientist.com, an FTS InfoTech application made the Top 10 list of smart iPhone apps for biologists. The Promega application designed by FTS InfoTech ranked third overall among the most beneficial iPhone applications for life scientists. The list was based on tools that allowed researchers to access and manipulate information no matter where they are and yield a substantial productivity boost for scientists.
The article described the Promega app as “a bundle of useful stuff” based on content from Promega’s Protocols & Applications Guide. The information covers molecular cell biology, DNA and protein analysis procedures. The application also provides BioMath calculators, which are identified as “the best part of the app.” The calculators help researchers with key conversions like μg to pmol, molar ratios of insert:vector concentrations, melting temperature calculations and more.
